This is an idiodictionary of Blissymbolics. An idiodictionary is a dictionary created for a single, specific person, tailored to their custom needs. Blissymbolics is an ideographic written language emphasizing ease of learning and simplicity of symbol. Although you are not the person for whom this dictionary was created some effort has been invested to make it accessible to a broader audience, and so you may still find it useful.
A freely available, standard version of Blissymbolics is authored by Blissymbolics Communication International, including its fundamental rules and comprehensive lists of its entire official vocabulary.
The majority of entries in this dictionary are based on (but not absolutely faithful to) BCI's standard version of Blissymbolics. These entries carry a BCI Authorized Vocabulary Identifier (BCI-AV ID for short)—a number which can be used to refer to and quickly lookup a specific official Blissymbol, including in the vocabulary lists previously mentioned.
BCI also publishes official Scalable Vector Graphic files of each of its Blissymbols, but those SVGs are not used in this dictionary. Instead, the SVGs found in this dictionary have been remade from scratch.
